What is it MilkLock made from?
PLA which stands for Polylactic Acid. It's a plant-based bioplastic which means it's made from renewable sources such as plants, rather than traditional plastics which are derived from oil or petroleum. All of our tamper-proof caps are recycled from old milk bottle caps.
Is It Food Safe?
EU Regulations EU 10/2011 sets out safety requirements for plastic materials intended to come in to contact with food. The materials used to create MilkLock fully complies with these regulations unless the liquid contains greater than 15% alcohol (no more alcoholic milk for you!). We recycle the tamper-proof locks which are also food-safe.
Is MilkLock dishwasher safe?
No. As we use plant based PLA to be as environmental safe as possible the heat from a dishwasher may warp the product. Cleaning can be done in warm soapy water only.
Is Milk Lock made in the UK?
Yes! Our materials are sources from UK companies and the product itself it made in Lancashire.
